RUAG expands scope of EASA Design Organization Approval to include Night Vision Imaging Systems
RUAG MRO Switzerland has expanded the scope of its EASA Part 21 J Design Organization Approval (DOA) to include Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) capabilities. The specification of NVIS technical field entitles the aviation life cycle support and services provider to directly classify and approve changes and repairs, to design and develop Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for aircraft with NVIS configurations, and to integrate new NVIS to existing platforms.... Aerodynamics expertise by RUAG helping to shape a greener future for aviation
The ESICAPIA and LOSITA consortia, with RUAG MRO Switzerland as a member, have successfully developed and tested wind tunnel models for simulating emerging turbofan and propeller technologies. These research projects were performed in the frame of the Green Regional Aircraft ITD (GRA) of the European Clean Sky aeronautical research programs. Data generated from these research projects will be applied to reducing the ecological footprint of future aircraft.... More

The aircraft services provider and life cycle support specialist manages full in-house engineering capabilities. RUAG MRO Switzerland is authorised to classify changes as major and minor, develop major changes, major repairs and STC, and develop and approve minor modifications and minor repairs.
